Tuesday on CNN’s “At This Hour” Steve Lonegan, the New Jersey campaign director for GOP presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), predicted his candidate would do well in Tuesday’s Indiana Republican presidential primary.
Lonegan went on to add he didn’t expect the conservative base to “nominate Hillary Clinton with a penis.”
“[Cruz] will do very well tonight,” Lonegan said. “He will outperform expectations like he always does. I don’t believe the conservative base of this party is ready to throw everything over to Donald Trump. In essence, we’re not going to nominate Hillary Clinton with a penis.”
