President Barack Obama slow jammed the news with Jimmy Fallon — but reminded Americans in the same interview that the presidency is not a reality show.
“The main role I’m gonna be playing in this process is– to remind the American people that this is a serious job. You know, this is not reality TV,” he said according to a preview clip released by NBC featuring Obama’s interview with Fallon.
But it appears that the president also slow jammed the news during his appearance with Fallon, according to a photo of the segment posted by White House photographer Pete Souza.

Souza deleted the photo from his Instagram account as it appeared to break an embargo for the show that will air tonight.
The news “slow jam” is a Fallon feature where a guest tells the audience the news while a musical artist in the background sings slow jazzy background vocals.

Obama lectured the media last month, also reminding them of the seriousness of the presidency.
“We are in serious times; this is a really serious job,” Obama said at a press conference at the White House on May 6. “This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show.”
