As the Republican Party seeks to unify behind their nominee, Breitbart News Daily callers also sought to bridge the primary divide and unite to defeat Hillary Clinton.

This morning, Brian from Iowa, a Donald Trump supporter, called into SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon and spouted, “Sore Cruz’ers just need to lick the boots of Donald Trump” to prevent Hillary Clinton from gaining the White House.

What followed was a host of Cruz supporters calling in saying basically that it is that very attitude from Trump supporters that puts them off and keeps them from rallying to Trump as the nominee. Some Cruz supporters said they have already come around to supporting Trump, but they still protested against the divisiveness of some Trump supporters like Brian.

By the end of the short series of calls, Brian called back in, saying, “I want to sincerely apologize for saying Cruz supporters should lick the boots of Donald Trump. On social media, I got bashed all the time for supporting Trump by Cruz supporters. It was a back-and-forth during the primary time.” Brian said he had initially been a Rand Paul supporter, and a Ron Paul supporter before that, and he could appreciate what it is like to lose. “I’m sorry for saying that to your audience,” he concluded.

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern. You can listen to the exchanges of the various supporters in the brief audio clip below.
