Hillary Praised on Human Rights Despite Clinton Foundation Business with Oppressive Dictators

President Bill Clinton and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) took the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night, touting Hillary Clinton’s record on fighting for change and human rights, but neither mentioned that the former secretary of state’s family foundation worked with and honored dictators from countries with “terrible reputations when it comes to human rights.”

Bill Clinton said his wife is a change maker, while Klobuchar commended Clinton’s record on fighting for human rights and against human trafficking.

“When Hilary said human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights, she named sex trafficking,” Klobuchar applauded. “She said it in China.”

Despite the praise, while Clinton was secretary of state, The Clinton Foundation conducted business with dictators in countries with deplorable human rights records — even honoring some dictators as guests at Clinton Foundation galas.

“Dictators like Nursultan Nazarbayev Kazakh in Kazakhstan, Meles Zenawi from Ethiopia […], and Paul Kagame of Rwanda might have terrible reputations when it comes to human rights, but they are invited guests at Clinton Foundation events where they are praised for their leadership,” Peter Schweizer reveals in his book, Clinton Cash.
