On Sunday, a victim wrestled away a gun after being shot, and was able to shoot and kill one of two robbery suspects.

According to Action News 5, around 11:30 a.m. in Memphis, Tennessee, a 32-year-old was “approached … in his driveway and attacked … from behind.”

One of the suspects allegedly pulled a gun, and the three men wrestled for control of the weapon. In the process, the victim was shot, but he was also able to shoot one of the suspects, who died shortly thereafter.

The other suspect fled the scene.

A neighbor called 911 upon hearing the gunshots, and police arrived to find the 32-year-old victim “suffering from a gunshot wound.” He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Angelique Johnson is the neighbor who called police. “That’s our neighbor and we look after each other,” she said. “It’s not right that you take from people because people work hard for their money.”
