Radical Organization Led by Union Boss Invades Capitol Hill Office Building

Demanding higher taxes on the "wealthy" and condemning Republican plans to reform entitlements, a crowd of protesting loudly gathered in the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill this afternoon. Protesters then streamed into Representative Dave Camp's office.

As chants of "My Medicaid matters" echoed through the typically peaceful congressional halls, police officers warned the protesters such conduct fell outside the bounds of acceptable conduct and stood guard at the congressman's door to prevent a security problem from developing.

Who organized this group of people to engage is such poor behavior?

None other than HEALTH CARE- NOW, a single -payer national health care advocacy group. This far Leftist organization proudly lists Marilyn Clement as national coordinator and founder of the organization. She also is former executive director of the far-Leftist legal organization Center for Constitutional Justice. Serving as President of HEALTH CARE-NOW is none other than United Steelworkers president Leo Gerard.

Radical organizations such as this one attempt to bring protesters together under the pretense of grass-roots activism. Experienced activists such as Ms. Clement know the public can be swayed by such activities. That this protest was organized by a group led by a union boss and a Leftist constitutional lawyer is quite revealing.
