The latest daily presidential tracking poll released by Rasmussen Reports shows Republican Mitt Romney leading President Barack Obama by 7 percentage points. It is Romney's widest lead of the race so far, and the first time he has reached 50 percent in the daily tracking poll.

The poll is conducted among 500 randomly-selected likely voters per night, and results are reported as three-day rolling averages.
