Dennis Rodman's Meets Estranged Father, Discovers He Owns Restaurant Called Rodman's Rainbow Obamaburger

Former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman, known as much for his flamboyance as his rebounding, met his father for the first time in 42 years on Thursday after an exhibition basketball game with the NBA “Alumni” team in the Philippines, where his father resides.

Philander Rodman, Rodman’s father, has acknowledged fathering 29 children by 16 mothers, and now owns a restaurant called Rodman’s Rainbow Obamaburger.

Rodman had refused to meet with his father in the past, but publicly acknowledged his father’s presence during the exhibition game and even pointed to his father in the stands, according to the Associated Press (AP).

However, Rodman’s father only got a chance to spend “about three minutes with this son” and told the AP that they only had time “for greetings and handshakes.” Yet, Rodman’s father was not too disappointed.

“I really, really felt good,” Rodman’s father told the AP. “It’s the beginning of something new.”
