Obamacare Lets Children of Same-Sex Couple Stay on Insurance Until 26

Now Obamacare has extended the law so that the children of same-sex couples who work for the federal government can stay on their parents’ health care plans until they’re 26, just as children of heterosexual couples can.

The Obama administration managed to obtain this decision by manipulating the regulatory definition of “stepchild.” Interestingly, same-sex partners are not currently eligible for benefits but the government seems to be trying to move around the exclusion by starting with children first.

This is a classic technique of the left: to make an emotional argument that appeals to Americans’ innate compassion in order to circumvent law and traditional values.
