Weiner and Wife Abedin Move into $3.3 Million Apartment

Disgraced former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner has not found steady employment after he was forced to resign from Congress over a year ago. Weiner was caught sending lewd photos to women he had met on Twitter, vindicating the late Andrew Breitbart in the process.

Yet Weiner, who made an annual salary of $174,00 -- and his wife Huma Abedin, who makes $155,000 annually as one of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aides, are now living in a $3.3 million Park Avenue Manhattan apartment owned by top Democratic donor and friend of the Clintons, Jack Rosen.

The New York Post reported the news and discovered that a comparable apartment would rent for at least $12,000 to $14,000 a month, but a Clinton spokesman told the Post that Weiner and Abedin “are a two-income family and are more than capable of paying their market-rate rent.” Yet the official declined to disclose what Weiner and Abedin paid for the apartment.

Weiner and Abedin both sold their previous residences, and the total purchase price for both was around $1 million, which is about a third of the cost of the apartment in which they currently reside.

Rosen has donated to Weiner and has bundled over $500,000 to Obama’s reelection campaign.

The residence is a 2,120-square-foot, four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom apartment, according to the Post, and the paper notes the property curiously came off the market at the same time Weiner sold his residence last year.

One has to wonder how Weiner and Abedin can afford such a lavish place especially when Abedin -- as of now -- is the breadwinner on a government salary.

What does this say about the US and, in particular, the policies of the Federal Open Market Committee, which are pretty much identical?
