McBLACKPAC: Irish-American Group Plans DNC Debut

The Hill reports that an Irish-American super-PAC will debut at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The super-PAC will be called the McBLACKPAC.

According to The Hill, the super-PAC will aim to help elect young Irish and young black politicians win state and national elections.

Stella O'Leary, the group’s president, said McBLACKPAC got its inspiration from Obama’s Kenyan and Irish ancestry, according to The Hill, and said the name of the super-PAC may change if people react negatively to it.

“The alternative is Black and Green PAC,” O'Leary told The Hill. “It might change to that.”

O’Leary said so far the name of the super-PAC has been well-received.

It is not clear though, whether those smiles were in support of the super-PAC's name or in mockery.
