'Hating Breitbart' Screens in Washington D.C.

Last night in Washington D.C., an advanced screening was held of the new film, Hating Breitbart. The director, Andrew Marcus was in attendance along with producers Maura Flynn and Evan Coyne Maloney.  The theater was filled with Andrew's friends, fans and admirers.

The movie follows Breitbart for two years, chronicling his fight against the mainstream media and his battles with the institutional left.  Behind the scenes footage of Andrew's interview with Terry Moran of ABC, appearance at Netroots nation, Weiner-gate press conference hijack and ACORN take down were quite popular with the movie going crowd.

Andrew said he has two modes of operation "jocularity and righteous indignation" and the movie showcases both. Nowhere is his righteous indignation more evident than in the scenes of Andrew's speeches to activists where he exhorts them to push forward as a new media army.

Kerry Picket of the Washington Times, who was in the movie, said:

"Hating Breitbart" reminded me that Andrew was willing to absorb the hits that were often aimed at people who came to him for help when they were unfairly attacked, and when he hit back he did it with not only remarkable intelligence but also wicked humor.

Hating Breitbart opens in theaters October 19.
