Republican Consultant: Romney GOTV Effort in Virginia 'Worthless'

Republican consultant and senior adviser to failed GOP Senate candidate George Allen of Virginia Boyd Marcus has come out firing today, accusing the Romney campaign of grassroots incompetence in the state. The get out the vote effort, he said, was utterly feckless. “"It was a lot of activity going on," said Marcus. "Most of it was pretty worthless."

Marcus’ criticism comes on the heels of criticism of the Romney campaign over their grassroots get out the vote efforts, including the failure of the much-vaunted ORCA system designed to target voters who hadn’t yet been to the polls.
