Alabama Police Officer Kills Gunman Who Shot Three People at Hospital

A Birmingham, AL police officer shot and killed a gunman, Jason Letts, after Letts shot three people at St. Vincent's hospital on Saturday morning.

Letts went to the fifth floor of the hospital at around 4 AM and shot two employees and a police officer as they were coming off of an elevator. A second police officer "came around the corner" and shot and killed Letts. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Sgt. Johnny Williams, of the Birmingham Police Department, said injuries to all three shooting victims are not life threatening.
