Ground Zero Mosque Founder Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is being sued for allegedly using $3 million worth of mosque donations for personal expenditures.

Those expenditures are said to have included "lavish trips, luxury sports cars, and personal real estate."

The suit is being brought by Robert Leslie Deak, a "major backer" of "the Cordoba Initiative"--a nonprofit fund from which Rauf allegedly used monies that were supposed to be "used to counter anti-Islamic sentiment."

Deak is also claiming that Rauf "falsified" the fund's "tax returns for 2008, 2009, and 2010." He alleges that Rauf did this by "failing to report receipt of funds from foreign sources and transfer of funds." If true, this becomes even more important when you consider that $3 million in foreign investments came from Malaysia alone. 

Rauf is being sued over the misappropriation of $3 million.
