Court Kills Obamacare Lawsuit Against Bible Publisher

On Monday, the Obama administration requested dismissal of a suit the government had filed against Bible publisher Tyndale House Publishers, which refused to implement the Obamacare mandate to provide employees’ birth control.

“Bible publishers should be free to do business according to the book that they publish,” Senior Legal Counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom Matt Bowman told LifeSiteNews. “The government dismissed its appeal because it knows how ridiculous it sounds arguing that a Bible publisher isn’t religious enough to qualify as a religious employer.”

This marks the first wholesale legal loss for the Obama administration in its quest to force religious Americans to pay for services that violate their religious precepts.
