Monday Night: Tele-TownHall With Sens. Cruz, Sessions, Vitter on Immigration Bill
On Monday night, Sens. Ted Cruz, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter will participate in a national tele-townhall to discuss the Senate immigration bill and the new Corker Amendment. The call is sponsored by a broad coalition of grass roots organizations opposed to the Senate amnesty bill. The call begins at 7pm EST.
The number to call into the TeleTownHall is: 877-229-8493. Once connected, participants will be prompted to input ID code 111833 then PIN# 79.
On Friday, Senate backers of the immigration bill released a new 1,200 page version of the proposal. On Monday evening, the Senate will take its first of several votes leading to final passage. Reid plans to have a final vote before the end of the week and the start of the July 4th recess.
Because of the rushed schedule, few Senators or members of the public will know the consequences of the massive bill. The tele-townhall will give grass roots activists and regular citizens an opportunity to learn about the bill and ask questions of three Senators who are mounting robust opposition to amnesty.
