Zimmerman Trial Witness Spammed Live on Skype

In the George Zimmerman trial on Wednesday, viewers watched as the Skype account of a witness was called repeatedly by people who had seen his Skype name over the air. The witness, Professor Scott Pleasants, was testifying about Zimmerman’s level of knowledge about self-defense and “stand your ground” laws, when his incoming call boxes on his Skype began popping up. “I gotta tell you, there’s now a really good chance that we’re being toyed with,” said Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara. Four separate incoming call boxes popped up, obscuring Pleasants. Judge Debra Nelson responded icily that lawyers should “hang up the phone.”
