McCain Walks into Meeting with Obama, Gets Applause

On Wednesday, Democrats applauded Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) when he accidentally walked into a closed-door meeting between President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats on Capitol Hill.

McCain, who has been hailed as Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) favorite Republican, claimed he just opened the wrong door.

As The Hill notes, though, Democrats in the room were thrilled to see McCain, as they “erupted in applause and laughter” when McCain made his entrance.

Just this week alone, McCain said Fox News was “schizophrenic” and has suggested he was open to supporting Hillary Clinton, whom he called a “rock star” despite her role in the Benghazi scandal, over Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) in a potential 2016 presidential matchup.
