Obama to Join Zillow for Forum to Push Real Estate Plan

On Wednesday, President Obama will be joining Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff to answer Americans’ questions about real estate. Zillow.com states, “Moderated by Spencer, the President will answer questions submitted by YOU, Zillow’s users and social media community. You could shape the discussion! Send your question via video, Twitter or Facebook.” The company also encouraged Twitter users to tweet questions with the hashtag #AskObamaHousing. The discussion will be streamed at both Zillow.com and WhiteHouse.gov.

The Zillow.com livestream will come one day after Obama travels to Phoenix, Arizona to give a speech about “helping responsible homeowners and those who seek to own their own homes as the next cornerstone of a strong middle class in America.” Many economists believe that the Obama administration’s policy of keeping interest rates low and spending reams of cash on mortgage backed securities has artificially inflated the real estate market.
