DNC Hires Hillary Aide for Communications Director

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has hired Mohamad ("Mo") Elleithee, a prominent Hillary Clinton strategist, as its new communications director.

In 2008, Elleithee was Clinton's traveling campaign press secretary.

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz released a statement praising the move, saying:

We're thrilled to have Mo join our team, bringing with him seventeen years of experience on some of the most high-profile campaigns in the country. Mo's experience working in the public sector, the private sector, on issue advocacy and electoral campaigns at every level will make him an invaluable asset at the DNC and for Democrats across the country.

Elleithee's beliefs seem to be in line with Democrats' view of Americans as disparate oppressed groups. He said on MSNBC earlier this month:

"I think there are a whole lot of divisions in our country, a whole lot of groups that feel disenfranchised, a whole lot of different people, y’know, that deal with racism, sexism, ageism, you name the -ism, there’s a lot of that out there."
