Sebelius Caught on Hot Mic: 'Don't Do This To Me'

While being questioned before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius was caught on a hot mic making an unfortunate comment. Facing scrutiny over whether she would have to join the federal exchange, Sebelius muttered, “Please don’t do this to me.”

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) then asked her whether she would be interested in joining the Obamacare exchange. “I would gladly join the exchange if I didn’t have affordable coverage in my workplace,” she answered. Sebelius does have the ability to purchase federal health insurance, despite her claims that her current workplace obviates that possibility.
