Teen Brothers Charged with Murder of Iraq War Veteran

On Monday, Tryon Kincade, 19, and Tyshaune Kincade, 18, were formally charged with the murder of Sgt. First Class Jim Vester. Their next hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Vester had answered the boys’ Craigslist ad selling an iPad, which he planned to give to his parents:

According to phone records released by the police, the Indianapolis father wanted to buy an iPad from the brothers as a Christmas present for his parents based off of their Craigslist ad.

At 3:05pm, Vester texted: ‘Can I get your address.’ At 3:14pm, the suspects texted him to meet at 920 Wyckford Dr.

Vester arrived at the address at 3:49pm and texted, ‘are you here?’ and the suspect quickly replied ‘yes’. Five minutes later Vester was killed.

The police arrested Tyshaune (pictured, right) after stopping his car. Tryon’s (pictured, left) phone number was found in connection with other robberies in the area. Both of their Facebook pages claim they attend the school of “da thug life.”

Vester leaves behind his wife Jamie and son Gavin, who just turned one in November. He recently took a job as a mechanic. Those asked said he was well loved:

‘He would drop everything and cross town to help you and your family,’ friend Master Sgt. Jerry Wurm said.

‘He wanted to be a good husband and father his entire life,’ [family friend Sarah] Hill said to the Indianapolis Star

‘Jim is one of those guys who is just a really genuinely good guy who loved being a dad.’

Friends started a donation page for Vester’s family at YouCaring.com. More than 1,500 people have so far donated $77,628.
