Cruz Coloring Book Racking Up Huge Sales

St. Louis publisher Really Big Coloring Books Inc. has brought out a new, hot product for the holiday season: a coloring book of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The coloring book, titled “US Sen. Ted Cruz to the Future” has already sold 10,000 copies in 24 hours, and then sold another 10,000 over the next few days. The owner of the company, Wayne Bell, said, “At this point, I would almost call it a phenomenon. It’s beyond us. We’re just trying to catch up with the printing.” Cruz is not associated with the book.

Senator Cruz, who led the fight against Obamacare in the Senate during the government shutdown, gave a 21-hour quasi-filibuster on the Senate floor; the coloring book depicts the speech, with the caption, “A lot of career establishment politicians are far too out of shape, old or overweight to even perform such a magnificent feat.”

Senator Cruz’s spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, said, “We hope all who enjoy the book color in it bright bold colors, and not pale pastels, just as Ronald Reagan would have wanted.”
