Church Gives Away AR-15 During Sunday Service

On March 23rd Troy, New York’s Grace Baptist Church drew a raffle winner for an AR-15 during morning services.

On March 7th Breitbart News reported the church was advertising the raffle with a flier that had a picture of an AR-15 and the words, “My peace I give to you.”

The AR-15 was a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 modified to be legal under New York’s SAFE Act.

According to Albany’s Fox 23, “the gun was not handed over during the service, but the background check and transaction will be handled this week.”

Grace Baptist’s Pastor John Koletas said, “We believe legal gun owners and hunters have been attacked viciously by politicians and the media.”

Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin spoke at Grace Baptist Church in favor of the Second Amendment. He received threats “via email and voicemail” for doing so. McLaughlin said one caller said he “should be fired from his position and shot.”
