Chili's Considering Ban On Law-Abiding Citizens Carrying Guns In Their Stores

In the wake of Chipotle’s request that law-abiding citizens not carry guns in their stores, Chili’s is reviewing its policy on carrying guns as well.

On May 20 Breitbart News reported that Chipotle “respectfully” asked that no one other than “authorized law enforcement personnel” carry guns into their stores.

Now the Huffington Post (HP) reports that Chili’s is reviewing their gun policy because they “want to provide a safe environment for [their] guests and team members.” As with Chipotle, Chili’s consideration of banning guns is based on law-abiding customers who have openly–and legally–carried their firearms into various restaurant chains while eating.

HP published a video of a Chili’s host in San Antonio, Texas, telling armed customers that they would have to leave their firearms outside if they wanted to be served.
