NYPD Arrests Suspect in New York City Fatal Stabbings

On June 4, police arrested Daniel St. Hubert in connection with an East New York stabbing death and a Brooklyn stabbing that left a six-year-old dead and a seven-year-old in critical condition.

St. Hubert is also suspected of possible involvement in a June 4 Chelsea stabbing that left a 53-year-old wounded.

According to WABC-TV, police are also “looking into a possible connection to the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Tanaya Copeland.” A knife similar to the one used in the other stabbings was found by her body.

The NYPD reports that they were “inundated with tips that led them to St. Hubert,” whom they describe as “a man with a violent past, a criminal record, and now, a murder charge.”

St. Hubert is “being questioned by the Brooklyn North Detective Squad at the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg.”
