Palin: T.W. Shannon, Chris McDaniel, Rob Maness Can Topple Establishment Like Dave Brat

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said Dave Brat’s shocking victory over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) on Tuesday can give momentum to conservative Senate candidates in Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

Chris McDaniel has a runoff against incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) on June 24, which is the same day T.W. Shannon battles establishment Rep. James Lankford (R-OK) to replace retiring Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK).

“You shocked the political world and reminded D.C. that power lies with We the People and not any conventional party establishment,” Palin said after Brat’s win, saying it “showed the power of the local grassroots – the ones with boots on the ground who put up the campaign signs and go door to door to provide needed support for great candidates.” Palin thanked “those with powerful microphones like Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Ann Coulter and others who recognized Dave’s strengths and had the guts to provide him a megaphone to reach concerned citizens,” and also said she hopes “there’s more where that came from” if conservatives “get behind great Senate candidates like T.W. Shannon in Oklahoma, Rob Maness in Louisiana, and Chris McDaniel in Mississippi.”

“Their primary elections are just around the corner and they’ll help ignite the fire America needs to heat our economy, keep us safe, and put government back on the side of the people!” she said.
