Robber Gets $7, a Gun in His Face, Then Ten Years in Prison

On June 17 the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that a convenience store robber who took $7 then was held at gunpoint until police arrived has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

According to the Post-Dispatch, 26-year-old Gerald Brown “allegedly showed a handgun to the clerk of the Raetta Quick Stop at 4780 Raetta Lane in House Springs.” He “left with $7” but was followed by the store owner, who pulled a handgun and held Brown at gunpoint until police arrived.

There were no injuries during the robbery.

On June 16 Brown was “sentenced to 10 years in prison” on charges of 2nd degree robbery.
