Burglar Apologizes, Jumps Out Window After Naked and Armed Homeowner Confronts Him

On July 9 a burglar targeting a Georgetown, Texas, home apologized and jumped out a window after being confronted by the naked and armed homeowner.

According to Austin American-Statesman writer Esther Robards-Forbes, the unnamed homeowner awoke in the night “to see a flashlight moving around outside his bedroom door.” The homeowner then made sure his wife was still in bed, grabbed his 9mm handgun, and climbed out of bed naked to confront the burglar.

Once confronted, the burglar screamed, “I’m so sorry, sir,” and ran and jumped out of a first floor window.

The homeowner said: “I have a tattoo of the grim reaper, my hair is sticking up all crazy and I’m naked. I’m not sure if [the burglar] was more afraid of me or the gun.”
