On August 4 Breitbart News reported the death of Reagan White House Press Secretary James Brady. He was 73 years old.
On August 8 NBC Washington reported the medical examiner for the Northern District of Virginia ruled Brady’s death a homicide. Brady was shot and wounded on March 30, 1981, during the assassination attempt on President Reagan’s life.
The examiner said Brady “died as the result of the grievous injuries he suffered 33 years ago.”
According to The Washington Post, there “was no immediate word on whether the shooter, [John Hinckley Jr.]… could face new criminal charges.”
Hinckley “was found not guilty by reason of insanity” following the assassination attempt.
