Think Progress Editor Recants Roger Ailes Death Wish
Alan Pyke, the Deputy Economic Policy Editor for ThinkProgress, deleted a tweet where he expressed hope that Roger Ailes would die a slow and painful death.
“I hope Roger Ailes dies slow, painful, and soon,” he wrote on Twitter. “The evil that man has done to the American tapestry is unprecedented for an individual.”
After Breitbart News posted a story about his thoughts, Pyke deleted his tweet and apologized.
“Deleting my hateful Roger Ailes tweet from earlier. Hoping that another human being dies is a shitty thing to do, and I'm sorry,” he wrote.
Pyke was upset with the Fox News Channel’s coverage of the Michael Brown shooting case.
