Get Well Soon, Roger Ebert

On April 2, film criticRoger Ebert made an announcement that will come as a blow to his many fans: He's going to scale back his workload. The primary reason for this is his worsening health condition. Sadly he has been diagnosed with cancer again.

Ebert is one of the most prolific film critics in Hollywood history having penned "more than 10,000" reviews by his own counting. Last year alone he saw and critiqued 306 movies despite his delicate health.

Unfortunately, Ebert was diagnosed with another case of cancer after a painful fracture of his hip in December revealed a renewed presence of the dreaded disease. At the Sun-Times website, Ebert reports that he is being treated with radiation and this has "made it impossible for me to attend as many movies as I used to."

Still, Ebert has a laundry list of new offerings coming this year on his website. From a mobile app his web company, Ebert Digital, is working on, to expanded web offerings and a list of new reviewers joining him online, Ebert is planning a lot of new content in 2013.

Ebert's political views are thoroughly left-wing, of course, but we here at Breitbart News wish him well in his recovery and pray he can beat this newest bout with cancer.

Get well soon, Roger Ebert.
