Kanye West's Reality Show Connections Counter to His Paparazzi Bashing
Like it or not, Kanye West is now a part of the reality show world, and he'd be wise not to slight the shutterbugs who help sustain that genre's stars--like girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
West made his fame with his music, but his courtship of the reality star extraordinaire thrust him into that realm all the same. Their child cemented both their bond and ability to snare tabloid headlines.
So it's odd to recall West's recent attack on the paparazzi at LAX. The July 19 incident won't bring any serious legal woes for the rapper, although he still could face misdemeanor charges. The bigger issue might be its impact on his reality connections.
Flip through any issue of US Weekly and you'll see stars posing, preening and sometimes simply going about their daily lives. The magazine is chockablock with reality show stars, folks who typically have no marketable talent beyond their TV personas.
It's easy to spot them. They often appear to be posing even during allegedly unrehearsed moments. Such pictures help keep reality stars, including the Kardashian clan, on the pop culture radar.
How hypocritical of West to attack the same photogs who help sustain his girlfriend's lucrative business.
