Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West, 36, was charged with battery and attempted grand theft on Friday over a July 19 incident where he allegedly lunged at a photographer trying to take his picture at Los Angeles International Airport and tried to grab the photographer’s equipment.
The website TMZ has footage of West glaring at the paparazzi and appearing to jump at one of them.
West’s arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 10 in Los Angeles. Each charge could result in six months prison time.
