Paramount Plans to Buy Rights to Book Based on Benghazi Survivors' Viewpoint

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton might get a cinematic reminder of the most damaging part of her resume should a new film project hit theaters before Election Day 2016.

Deadline.com reports Paramount is looking to buy the film rights to an upcoming book from the point of view of Benghazi attack survivors.

Relying on the security team’s exclusive firsthand accounts, Thirteen Hours presents a nonfiction narrative of the attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA Annex in Benghazi on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11.

Four U.S. citizens were killed during the lengthy battle on Sept. 11, 2012, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

The movie project does not appear to have any outsized political ambitions at first blush, but its content still could send a message by what it does and does not cover during its running time.
