Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the smash reality show Duck Dynasty, will speak at this week’s Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans.
Robertson came under media fire last year for expressing his views on sin and homosexuality. The show’s network, A&E, suspended him briefly. Overwhelming fan support convinced the channel to reinstate the plainspoken star.
The Duck Commander will join an impressive list of speakers including RNC Chairman Reince Prieber, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Ben Sasse, Sen. Ron Johnson, Gov. Rick Perry, Governor Phil Bryant, US Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, & David Vitter; Donald Trump, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann and Allen West.
Robertson is slated to speak at 6 p.m. May 29th, the first day of the three-day event.
