'The View' Mocks Gwyneth Paltrow's War Comparison: 'People Lose Their Mind Sometimes'

Gwyneth Paltrow is taking shrapnel on all sides, to turn her own comparison back at her.

The Oscar winner endured web-based mockery when she dared to compare being insulted online to what soldiers face on the battlefield.

Now, the hosts of The View are jumping in, and even Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t fully defend a fellow actress.

Co-host Jenny McCarthy read a critical tweet yesterday from Cindy McCain regarding Paltrow’s statement, while Sherri Shepherd countered with a verbal tongue lashing from a Green Beret.

Goldberg tried to defend Paltrow, saying everyone in the public eye has a moment or two they’d like to take back. Even she couldn’t rationalize what Paltrow said.

People lose their mind sometimes, Goldberg said.
