New 'Believe Me' Trailer Shows Faux Christians Behaving Badly

Recent faith-based films have been moving (Heaven Is for Real), goofy (Moms' Night Out) or unabashedly spiritual (Son of God).

Believe Me, hitting theaters next month, charts a different course. It pokes fun at some of Christianity's modern-day trappings.

The film follows four young men who feign their spiritual calling to pay off their college debt. If that means posing as Christian speakers to tour the country and soak unblinking believers, so be it.

It's from the creative team behind Beware of Christians, a documentary with a softer approach to spirituality.

Believe Me hits theaters and on-demand services Sept. 26.
