If this is the best Media Matters For America (MMFA) can do as they try to best James O'Keefe and sting Fox News with "newly discovered" audio of Fox's Washington managing editor Bill Sammons - no doubt a part of their recently announced guerilla war on Fox News
- we can go back to ignoring Eric Boehlert and crew as they sail on upon the good ship irrelevant. There's no 'there' here
, none at all.
The soft-headed, short on substance, hardcore progressives that read MMFA may get a buzz over it; however, any intelligent human being listening in can interpret what Sammon's meant during the election and means now - loud and clear.
Sure, we all thought Obama had socialist tendencies during the election and given the mainstream media's tilt to the Left, "mischievous" is one way to characterize a network ponting it out - but no one expected to see the full blown socialist in chief Obama has proved himself to be upon entering the White House. He's a re-distributionist of the highest order American politics might
tolerate and it's unclear at this point if America is even willing to tolerate him and his progressive brand of socialism come 2012.
But don't take my word for it. Listen to the whole thing and do try to control your yawning. The media may try to make something of it due to their dislike for Fox. At the end of the day, I doubt Bill Sammons has any trouble defending himself to the extent he even feels compelled to do so. It is only Media Mutters, after all. Most people take their children's Saturday morning cartoons more seriously than the partisan hacks at MMFA. Who knows, maybe they'll snag Katie Couric when she leaves CBS, assuming she doesn't sign on to doing voice overs on Saturday mornings where she'd fit in just fine. After all, even Couric is at least a bit more serious than MMFA.
