The Wonkette brand of Myspace satire strikes again. Calling him the “greatest prop in history,” Wonkette proceeds to make fun of the little boy on his birthday because that’s what good writers who know about politics do.
They consider this satirical? This entire thing sounds like it was written by some guy, in this case, Jack Stuef who got tired of being bullied on the playground and, seeing his once chance to sound cool and impress people, decides to bully a child. You picked on a kid, dude. Yay for you.

Enjoy yourself today, Trig. Have fun! Get drunk (on purpose this time)! We can hardly wait for 15 years from now, when you will finally be able to vote and will be sent off by your mother’s junta to fight the Union in the Great Alaska War. It’ll be quite a loss. You’re the smartest one in that family.
This is what happens when a little-known blogger who edits the literary equivalent of the bathroom wall in Walmart isn’t clever enough to either write satire or convey why he doesn’t like the Palins. And this is considered acceptable by progressives.
It’s a scientific phenomenon: the zealous hatred they feel for people like the Palins literally causes them to regress. Any sign of intelligence disappears and in its stead hyper-bigotry, sexism, racism, and attacks on children are permissible, because it’s a lot easier to throw a tantrum like a savage than present your dissent in an edcuated and reasoned fashion.
After your push aside the name-calling and related idiocy, Stuef’s complaint is his perception that the Palin’s used Trig as a prop? How so, because they had him with them on the campaign trail? Let’s look at the logical outcomes of this reasoning.
Stuef believes that:
1) Children shouldn’t be used as props because it’s bad for the kids, in which case it’s ironic that he would double-down on such a perceived offense by adding to it with name-calling a child.
2) Parents who bring their children with them on the campaign trail do so solely for the prop value. It couldn’t possibly be to maintain family togetherness. Apparently only Republican parents do this because we never saw Barack and Michelle Obama bring their daughters anywhere with them during the campaign. This is plain political bias.
3) That mothers should be barred from political service because they’re mothers, which is sexist and insulting.
I don’t care if the Palins had their kids with them on the campaign trail. I don’t care if the Obamas did, too. I don’t care if politicians bring their kids and everyone else’s on stage. Children are off limits, period.
So kudos, Wonkette, for employing the dregs of the Internet and reminding humanity what it could become if people lost the desire to evolve. Snaps!
