RightOnline Conference to Feature Palin, Breitbart Tribute

The shadow of Andrew Breitbart will loom large over this weekend’s RightOnline conference in more ways than one.

Members of the Breitbart News team will be on hand for the two-day event, being held in Las Vegas. And the conference’s main event will let conservative bloggers, pundits and media types pay tribute to the late media maestro.

The fifth annual RightOnline conference, hosted by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation, will also feature former Gov. Sarah Palin. The 2008 GOP Vice Presidential candidate will lead the tribute to Breitbart.

Conservatives have embraced Breitbart’s aggressive use of the Web and social media to battle back against both the left and the mainstream media, a fight even more critical as the November elections approach.

Tomorrow night’s “Tribute to Andrew Breitbart” will include a sneak peek at “Occupy Unmasked,” the upcoming documentary from Stephen K. Bannon (“The Undefeated”). The film will feature footage of Breitbart breaking down the far-left movement.

Among the speakers slated to appear this weekend include pollster Scott Rasmussen, Michelle Malkin, Jonah Goldberg, Breitbart News’ Dana Loesch, Guy Benson, Hugh Hewitt, Ann McElhinney, Lars Larson, Roger Hedgecock, S.E. Cupp, Rusty Humphries, and Congressman Joe Heck.

The conference will wrap Saturday night with the presentation of the Andrew Breitbart Award award for Excellence in Online Activism and Investigative Reporting.

Breakout sessions will offer tips on working with media formats, conducting interviews, making live appearances and harnessing the power of the web.

In the past few months conservatives have shown their power via resources like Twitter in combating the president’s reelection campaign messages. They’ll have even more tools to work with after attending RightOnline this weekend.
