Insta-Fact Check **Live-Blogging the ObamaMedia**

Because the corrupt media is so breathtakingly corrupt in its push to reelect a failed president, Big Journalism needs a running live blog. Please help us in our quest to capture the breadth and scope of this corruption by forwarding your tips to jnolte@breitbart.com or Twitter me @NolteNC.

Obama Supporter, Kirsten Powers, Blasts the Media Over Libya at the Daily Beast

Brutal and 100% true:

Either the [Obama] administration was lying with its original Libya story or it is frighteningly naive and clueless.

Whichever is the case, the media could stand to have a lot more curiosity about the safety of the United States. Thankfully, a few reporters are doing their jobs. While most of the media herd was fretting that Mitt Romney paid too much in taxes, The Daily Beast’s Eli Lake discovered that the administration had known within 24 hours that al Qaeda was behind the attack in Benghazi. …

Also, where did Rice get her very detailed information about the attack in Libya? She referred to the attackers as “a small handful of heavily armed mobsters” who merely took advantage of a growing protest over the video, a protest that now appears never to have occurred, as was reported three days before her appearances. The administration is careful to point out that Rice couched everything she said as being the best assessment at the time. Fine. But where did that assessment come from and how could it have been so wrong, especially when all signs pointed to a terrorist attack?

We know now that before the attacks on 9/11 that killed 3,000 Americans, more attention should have been paid to attacks against the U.S. overseas. These were warnings of what was to come. They say curiosity killed the cat. In this case, lack of curiosity on the part of the American media very well may kill more Americans.

Read it all.

Powers, a loyal Democrat, has been beating the drum over this issue since day one. Wish we had more like her in the media and in the Democratic party.

Politico, Heal Thy Corrupt Self

Politico’s media analyst, Dylan Byers, emailed the Washington Post and New York Times to ask the outlets if they thought they were giving the Libyan scandal enough coverage.

Maybe Byers should look at Politico’s front page ask himself that question about the corrupt outlet he shills for.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Hitting Libya Scandal Pretty Hard

More proof that some among the establishment media are having a hard time and are obviously torn between protecting Obama and reporting on a legitimate and inexcusable cover up coming from the White House with respect to what happened in Libya two weeks ago.

Those in the media with a shred of integrity should also feel used and taken advantage by a White House that counted on the media’s complicity in the cover up.

Blitzer just finished interviewing Rep. Peter King who is calling on Ambassador Susan Rice to resign now that it’s become obvious she spent her Sunday morning telling the American people a fairy tale about what happened that fateful day. Blitzer did what he could to explain where she might be coming from it, but her behavior was inexcusable and everyone knows it.

This segment was followed by a segment with Candy Crowley, the CNN journalist Rice lied to during her Sunday morning round robin. Crowley couldn’t explain Rice’s behavior now that we know what the White House knew in the 24 hours after the attack.

Today Proves Lie About Media Only interested In Ratings, Sensationalism

In a just world, the American news media would not be winding down for the weekend after a slow news day only interrupted by the tragic suicide committed by a desperate criminal that never should’ve aired on television. In a just world, today would’ve been a crazy and intense news day as the story of the White House’s cover up of the terror attack in Libya continued to explode across the country.

Today, Fox News reported a major development; that there was no threat assessment prior to ambassador Stevens arrival in Benghazi. This news is more proof that security was fatally flawed at the consulate but also adds to the mounting pile of motive for the Obama cover up.

But instead of running with that, today was a dull news day. A run-of-the-mill day spent repeating the same tired, weeks-old narrative about how Mitt Romney has already lost the race.

So you defenders who like to say there’s no bias because the media is only interested in sensationalism and ratings, are either lying or wrong. What we have here is a legitimate scandal at the highest level of our government — a HUGE story. But rather than blow it up, the media instead chooses to be complicit in the cover up.

Breitbart News Will Not Post the Video of the Live-TV Suicide

If the reasons aren’t obvious, I’m not going to bother explaining them.

Fox News Broadcasts Car Chase That Ends With Live Suicide on Television

Thanks to Twitter, I thankfully did not see a desperate criminal pull out a handgun and blow his brains out on live television. But I can confirm it happened. After Twitter exploded with the news, I checked the DVR but shut it off in horror just as the man put the gun to his head.

It happened during Shepard Smith’s show. He immediately apologized. Apparently there was a five-second delay, but someone slipped up.

Stories ObamaMedia Ignore: We’ve Lost Track of Syria’s Chemical Weapons

Mitt Romney, what about your gafffffees!

Uhm:

The U.S. has lost track of some of Syria’s chemical weapons, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Friday, and does not know if any potentially lethal chemicals have fallen into the hands of Syrian rebels or Iranian forces inside the country.

Hey, media, let’s see that 47 percent video again!

Polls ObamaMedia Ignore: Romney Overtakes Obama On Terrorism

Well, well, well

The foreign-policy results of the new Bloomberg National Poll haven’t gotten much attention yet, but the survey contains some bad news for the Obama campaign. According to the poll, Mitt Romney has a 48-42 advantage over Barack Obama on the question of which candidate would be tougher on terrorism. Romney, in other words, has encroached on one of Obama’s signature strengths

What we have to hope is that the security debacle at our consulate in Libya and the subsequent cover up is penetrating over the heads of the corrupt media as new Media keeps pushing.

Polls ObamaMedia Ignore: 73% Agree with Romney’s 47 Percent Remarks

Question #45:

Recently a videotape was released that showed presidential candidate Mitt Romney talking about 47 percent of Americans. How familiar are you with the tape and what Romney said?

Very 50% — Somewhat 23% — Not Very 8% — Not at all 18%

But-but-but-but DOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!

You see, by saying these Romney comments were a campaign-ender, the ObamaMedia can attempt to turn the story into another “EPIC GAFFE” that makes Romney look incompetent and therefore not qualified to be president.

If you look at the over-arching narrative attempting to disqualify Romney on the grounds of competence, almost everything the corrupt media does makes perfect sense.

Corrrupt Politico’s Cowardly Soros’ Headline

Rather than announce the truth — that George Soros is donating $1 million ot a pro-Obama super PAC, we get this:

George Soros gives $1 million to Priorities USA Action

The words “Soros” and “Obama” and “$1 million” just can’t be allowed to exist in the same headline.

And yet, this, this, this, this… You all know, I could go on all day.

Krauthammer vs. Romney Campaign’s Rope-a-Dope Strategy

column by the great Charles Krauthammer is getting plenty of media attention today, mainly because it’s critical of Mitt Romney:

It makes you think how far ahead Romney would be if he were actually running a campaign. His unwillingness to go big, to go for the larger argument, is simply astonishing.

For six months, he’s been matching Obama small ball for small ball. A hit-and-run critique here, a slogan-of-the-week there. His only momentum came when he chose Paul Ryan and seemed ready to engage on the big stuff: Medicare, entitlements, tax reform, national solvency, a restructured welfare state. Yet he has since retreated to the small and safe.

The Romney campaign, however, appears to have a different strategy where they are holding fire until the final weeks of the campaign:

One of my guys plugged into GOP circles in Virginia reaches out to me with the opening declaration, “Short attention spans.”

“That is the reason Team Mitt is holding back right now,” he says. “They know, as they proved in the primary, that elections are won and lost in the last two weeks and on the ground.”

Here the evidence has a few exceptions, as Romney was pretty steady in New Hampshire, but the former Massachusetts Governor did come back strong in the closing weeks and days of primaries in Florida, Ohio, and Michigan, and showed a modest closing bump in Iowa,

“With modern information overload, its not inconceivable for any candidate to turn things around in days. That was never the case prior to 2004 or 2008,” my source says. “If Mitt goes on an offensive over the next two weeks and performs well in the first debate, people will forget why they were down today AND Mitt will drive the comeback kid narrative.”

Personally, I’m getting a little tired of being told by the Romney campaign that the Kraken is about to be released. And I doubt very much that the campaign’s lack of a clarifying and consistent message is part of some overall brilliant strategy.

It does make sense, though, to hold your big guns on policy proposals for as long as you can, especially with a dishonest media and even more dishonest Obama campaign ready to pounce and destroy your best and biggest ideas with lies.

So maybe the strategy all along has been to use the small ball approach in order to stay viable and run out the clock before releasing all kinds of Krakens in the closing days.

If so, it would be the greatest rope-a-dope in political history. Ali only kept his back to the ropes for seven rounds. We’re already in round ten.

NBC’s Joe Scarborough Ignores Libya Scandal

There’s absolutely no excuse for a so-called Republican who has his own news show to completely ignore the unfurling scandal surrounding the lies told by the White House about the attack on our Libyan consulate. Yesterday, top Senate Democrats demanded answers from the Obama Administration and it’s now been confirmed that days before sending UN Ambassador Susan Rice out to tell a completely different story, our government knew Libya was the work of terrorists.

And yet, all Scarborough has talked about this morning is what an incompetent campaign Romney is running — which, of course, feeds the overall media narrative that Romney is too incompetent to be president.

Simply as someone with a news show, how is the Libya scandal not news?

For weeks now, all Scarborough has done with his own show is beat Romney senseless and feed the media’s anti-Romney narrative. He’s embraced every opportunity to do that while ignoring things like Libya.

Seems pretty clear now that Scarborough wants Romney to lose or that he’s the laziest sell-out in the history of the Republican party; completely unwilling to do anything that might help his nominee.
