Israel Only Adult in Room for Iran Negotiations

Iranian President Ahmadinejad has been open and upfront about his desire to wipe Israel off the map. Had he the weapons to do it at this moment, he would have already pressed the button.

Israel knows this, thus they are have declared that they will do what must be done to defend themselves, including preemptive strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

What does President Obama say? He says please don’t strike, please just show restraint... until after the November 2012 presidential elections, that is. And like a spineless parent trying to bribe a kid into going that parent’s way, he also tells Israel he'll reward them with “goodies,” including “bunker busters,” if they’ll just wait.

In the meantime, Iranian military experts are reportedly in the Gaza strip with weapons systems, some of which are “rocket-launching systems that were manufactured under Iranian supervision.” And Iran is trying to cause a ruckus by inciting and pressuring Islamic Jihad and “popular resistance groups” to fire rockets into Israel.

What does British Prime Minister David Cameron say? He opposes Israel taking action as well, preferring instead Obama’s road of weakness. Said Cameron: “The Iranian situation is vital, in terms of trying to demonstrate to the world, and in particular to the Iranians, our continued road of sanctions, the pressure that’s got further to run, and that we’re going to push that as hard as we can.”

Things are so out of whack that on March 19th, the White House uploaded a video message from President Obama wherein he sent the Iranians his best wishes on “Norwuz,” the Iranian New Year. The video was an appeasement-rich production that Neville Chamberlain certainly would have loved.

No wonder Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that his nation will not wait on the U.S. before doing what has to be done to protect Israel, and this includes launching a nuclear strike. Looking at things from where I’m sitting, Israel is the only adult in the room when it comes to dealing with Iran.
