Israel Building 3,000 New Housing Units in Disputed Areas

In the aftermath of the UN General Assembly approving the Palestinians’ non-member observer state status, in violation of all previous Israeli-Arab agreements, Israel has announced it is building 3,000 new housing units in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. Israel will also build thousands more housing units in the area that connects Jerusalem with major Israeli city and settlement Maaleh Adumim.

The United States has already urged Israel not to take such measures. Israel clearly does not believe that the US’ influence in the region is on the rise, and is not going to stand for one-sided pressure by the United States on it.

This is the difference between Israel and its neighbors: when the Palestinians are upset, they fire rockets on civilians. When Israel is upset, it builds bedrooms for children.
