Egypt's Interim PM to Offer Ministerial Posts to Muslim Brotherhood Members
Egypt's Interim Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi will be offering ministerial posts "to members of the Freedom and Justice Party, the Muslim Brotherhood's political wing, and to the Islamist Nour Party."
France24.com reports that an Egyptian presidential spokesman said, "There is no objection at all to including members of those...parties in the government."
Prime Minister el-Beblawi is in his 70s and served as the finance minister in one of the first cabinets following the ouster of Hosni Mubarak in 2o11. The recent announcement that ministerial posts would be extended to Muslim Brotherhood members was made on this heels of his appointment to interim PM earlier this week.
It is viewed as a way "to steer the country to new parliamentary and presidential elections."
