Obama Asks Netanyahu to Show 'Good Faith' while Palestinians Murder Jews

Barack Obama, meeting with Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, thanked him Monday for his "courage" in "good faith" negotiations with the Palestinians, saying, "I commended him for entering into good faith negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. I appreciate the prime minister's courage in being willing to step forward."

What is Netanyahu’s good faith worth when he is dealing with an entity that prefers murdering Jews? On September 21, Tomer Hazan, 20, an Israeli soldier, was lured into a taxi by a Palestinian co-worker, Nidal Amar, 42. Amar picked Hazan up in a taxi, offering him a ride, then took him to an open field and bludgeoned him to death in order to trade his body for Amar’s brother, a terrorist held in an Israeli jail. The very next day, Israeli soldier Sergeant Gabriel Koby, 20, was shot and killed by a Palestinian sniper as he patrolled in Hebron; the ancient city that is the site of the oldest Jewish community in the world, where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are buried and King David was anointed.  The Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, which is the military wing of Fatah, the party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, claimed responsibility. The PA did not condemn either killing.

Yet Obama does nothing to pressure the Palestinians to stop inciting hatred among their people. If there’s someone who’s not acting in good faith, it’s the man in the Oval Office.
