Ukraine Imposes More Travel Restrictions on Russian Men

Ukraine informed Russian airlines Aeroflat there are restrictions on Russian men who try to enter the country. Aeroflat posted the details on their Facebook page.

1. All citizens of Russia males aged 16 to 60 years.

Skipping this category will be on the decision of the head of the regional administration (border detachment) after control only in cases of emergency when available: documents confirming kinship, death or serious illness of close relatives certified originals invitations businesses and individuals on the basis of awareness or directed by the Administration of State Border Service .

Without supporting documents will be allowed entry only to citizens of the Russian Federation that follow families with children.

2. Citizens of Ukraine males aged 16 to 60 years who are registered on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Due to the limitations, Aeroflat told customers in these categories not to travel to Ukraine unless it is necessary. If anyone needs to travel they should book direct flights to Kyiv, Donetsk, and Kharkiv.

Since April 12, over 10 government buildings have been seized in east Ukraine, mainly in Donetsk Oblast, by pro-Russian forces. On Wednesday night, these forces attacked a Ukraine army base in Mariupol, which left three protesters dead and damage to surrounding residential areas.
