Katy Perry and Hillary Clinton took their correspondence to social media via Twitter after Perry offered up her musical talents to the former Secretary of State in the form of a theme song for Clinton’s presidential campaign.
Based on her response to Perry’s tweet, it appears Clinton took positively to Perry’s offer, even mentioning her new book Hard Choices, which she has been promoting on tour, as well as including the pop star’s hit song Roar:
I told hillaryclinton that I would write her a “theme” song if she needs it… ???????????????? http://t.co/T6ilSEDP2X

.@katyperry Well that’s not a Hard Choice. You already did! Keep letting us hear you Roar.

This isn’t the first time Perry has exchanged tweets with political figures. She also had a Twitter exchange with President Barack Obama in August of 2013 when she retweeted his status on Obamacare to her, at that time, 41.6 million followers.
The president replied and thanked her for “spreading the word.”
