I’ve had it with the media and the left using these “children” as human shields to protect the human-trafficker-in-chief, President Barack Obama. We don’t have a “humanitarian crisis” on our borders; we have a government-created crisis that no one wants to own.
You see, when the president granted unconditional amnesty to everyone under the age of 16 (known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), he had to know that millions more would come and most would either be under or pretend to be under that age.
It’s not complicated. If you give it, they will come.
Our president has put everyone of those “children” at risk. According to Border Patrol in Texas, over a third of the girls between the ages of 10 and 14 has already been raped, and one source has told me many of them are already pregnant. These are children! They should be playing with baby dolls, not planning to have one.
President Obama is failing to uphold his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. Article IV, Section IV charges the Federal Government with keeping our states free from invasion:
The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.
The danger is not hundreds of children; it’s the chief executive of a sovereign nation undermining the rule of law, in the name of those children. The children are being used as a Trojan horse for the cartels, who have made a business out of trafficking guns, drugs, labor and now minors into the sex trade.
By suspending the enforcement of almost every one of our immigration laws, and specifically targeting children with a special amnesty, President Obama became complicit in their trafficking and should be held responsible for his actions. By sidelining our Border Patrol from their law enforcement duties, he has turned them into de-facto babysitters, which is an insult to the fine men and women who have sworn and oath to defend our borders. Our president has aided and abetted the cartels and the coyotes and put the sovereignty of our country at risk.
It’s not about the children–if it were, we’d see the full force and power of the most powerful government brought to bear to reunite the children with the parent who can love and care for them better than anyone else.
If the parents are here in the United States–and I cannot imagine why any parent would leave behind their minor children–then re-unite them. If they are found to be here illegally, then hold them over for a deportation hearing. If the parents are still in their home country, with all haste and dispatch, take some C130’s and as many chaperones as necessary and reunite these families on their home soil.
If it will take an act of Congress to make it happen, then let Congress act. God knows they’ve done enough damage to our freedoms. Let them get one thing right for a change.
If President Obama will not sign the action, let the House consider impeachment, as the only just action for a President that has violated his oath–and put not only this nation at risk, but also innocent children.
Every American ought to demand that our President be held accountable to right this great wrong, regardless of party or politics. This isn’t about right or left; it’s simply about right and wrong.
God be with all these children. Godspeed to all who are in harm’s way this 4th of July defending our freedom.
